Ingredients:
• Milk powder – 2 cups
• Almonds, powdered – 200 gms
• Sugar – 1 cup
• Saffron, dissolved in 4 tbsp. water – 1/2 tsp
• Water – 4 cups
• For garnishing:
• Almonds, blanched and slivered – 20
• Pistachios, blanched and slivered – 20
• Raisins – 4 tbsp
• Green Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Method:
- Mix water and milk powder.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add the saffron and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle the ground almond in batches so that no lumps are formed.
- Cook till you get a sauce of dropping consistency. This will require at least 10-12 minutes.
- Add half cup of milk if required.
- Now add the sugar and simmer for 5 mins.
- Remove from fire, cool and add cardamom powder and garnish with raisins and nuts.
