Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Channa dal
• A pinch of sodabicarb
• salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – cumin powder
• 2-3 pinches – Garam Masala powder
• oil to deep fry
Method:
- Wash dal and soak it overnight in plenty of water with soda.
- Drain and spread on a thick clean towel to absorb excess water.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Add some dal and fry till whitish and almost crisp.
- Drain and put on kitchen paper to soak excess oil.
- Repeat for remaining dal.
- Take them in a large plate.
- Add all other ingredients and mix till well coated.
- Cool completely before storing in an airtight jar.
