
Ingredients:
• 250 g – Cauliflower florets
• 100 g ( 1 cup ) – mutter ( fresh green peas)
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds ( Jeera )
• 1 – onion, finely sliced
• 2 tsp – Ginger paste (adrak )
• 1.5 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3 to 4 – green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 1/2 tsp – salt ( or to taste )
• 2 to 3 tbsp – water
Method:
- Wash and clean cauliflower florets.
- Boil 2 cups of water with 1/2 a tsp of salt and keep cauliflower florets for 10 minutes.
- Drain out water completely.
- Heat oil in a wide kadai / frying pan.
- Add jeera (cumin seeds ) and fry for 2 – 3 minutes or until fragrant.
- Add finely sliced onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add slit green chilli, ginger paste, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
- Stir well for 3 – 4 minutes ( or till the raw smell disappears ).
- Add cauliflower florets, mutter, 2 – 3 tbsps of water ( just sprinkle water) and salt to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a tight lid and cook on low to medium heat, for 15 minutes or until done (water dries up) and mutter and cauliflower softens.
- Serve as a side dish with rotis / rice / pulao.
