Ingredients:

• 250 g – Flour/maida
• 6 tbsp – Golden syrup
• 200 g – Butter or margarine
• 1 tsp – Cinnamon powder
• 1 tsp – Vanilla essence
• 1/2 tsp – Bicarbonate of soda

Method:

  1. Melt the butter/margarine.
  2. Stir in the golden syrup, vanilla essence, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda.
  3. Set aside for a while to cool.
  4. Add this to the flour and mix well.
  5. Roll out the dough thinly.
  6. Cut into round or square shapes.
  7. Places on a greased baking tray.
  8. Bake in an oven on medium heat for about 30 minutes till slightly brown on top.
