• 1/2 kg Mutton
• 1/4 cup Curd
• 3 to 4 whole Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
• 2 tbsp coriander Cumin seed powder
• 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• finely chopped Coriander leaves (to garnish)


  1. Clean and wash the mutton well
  2. Soak whole red chillies in 1/2 cup water for 15 to 20 minutes and grind them to a fine paste
  3. In a bowl mix curd, ginger garlic paste, red chilli paste, coriander cumin seed powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt
  4. Marinate the mutton in the curd mixture for 30 minutes
  5. Cook the mutton in a heavy bottom vessel on a low flame
  6. Cook covered with a lid that has some water on it
  7. Stir at regular intervals
  8. Add little water if needed and cook till done
  9. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with salli (grated potato) and hot rotis
