Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – Tender green gram
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp -Sesame seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Garam Masala (optional)
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp- Oil
• 2 tbsp- Ghee

Method:

  1. Sieve the flour and the salt together.
  2. Grind the gram and chillies in a mixer until smooth.
  3. Add this to the flour. Now add the seeds, garam masala and 2 tbsp oil.
  4. Mix well and knead into a smooth dough.
  5. Divide into 20 portions and make balls.
  6. Cover with a moist cloth.
  7. Now roll these out into wafer thin rounds.
  8. Place on a hot griddle, cook on both sides till light spots appear.
  9. Apply ghee after taking down. Repeat for the entire dough.
  10. Now heat a griddle, and cook the round, press with a thick wad of cloth to make it crisp and golden. Cook both the sides.
  11. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
  12. Serve with tea or coffee with pickles, chutney or sauce.
