Ingredients:

• 10 thin plain soup sticks
• 5 slices soft white bread
• 1/2 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Mint leaves, finely chopped
• 1 tsp – coriander leaves, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 tbsp grated, cheese
• 1/2 tsp- paprika or 1/4 tsp red chilli, crushed coarsely
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp- dry bread crumbs
• 2 tbsp – Milk

Method:

  1. Remove stiff crusts of bread slices.
  2. Mix all ingredients except sticks, bread slices, milk.
  3. Cut each slice into 2 rectangular halves.
  4. Sprinkle some milk on a slice, allow to moisten.
  5. Press gently with a rolling pin to flatten.
  6. Place one stick at one long end of rectangle.
  7. Roll carefully, to cover stick with slice.
  8. Roll this in the mixture and be careful not to open it.
  9. Arrange on a greased baking sheet.
  10. Bake in a hot oven, at 180 C till slices are crisp and golden.
  11. Serve hot with soups.
