Ingredients:
• 1 Chicken
• 8 ounce plain Yoghurt
• 1.5 tsp – Cardamom
• 1 tbsp – fresh Ginger
• 2 Cloves Garlic
• 1 tsp – fennel
• 1 tsp – caraway
• 1 tsp – coriander
• 1 tsp – chilli
• 1 Onion
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 1″ piece Cinnamon stick
• 5 to 6 Cloves
• chopped Coriander leaves or Parsley
• 1.5 tsp – salt
• water as required
Method:
- Season the yoghurt with cardamom, ginger, garlic, fennel and salt.
- Cut chicken to pieces and let the chicken pieces marinate in the yoghurt for a few hours or overnight.
- Heat oil and fry chopped onion so that it becomes transparent.
- Add a spoonful of water and crushed caraway, coriander and chilli.
- Add strained chicken pieces and fry till the surface gets golden yellow.
- Add some water, cinnamon and a few cloves if you like.
- Close with a lid and let simmer for 30-45 mins.
- Just before serving, add some ground coriander or chopped parsley.
