Everyone loves to savor the traditional flavors of home-made sweets. Khoya barfi is one of those sweet. So welcome your god into your home at this Diwali festival with this delicious Khoya Burfi. This mellow sweet dish is made with khoya, dry fruits and flavored with cardamom powder and saffron essence. Here is the easy way to make this mouthwatering khoya burfi and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

– 1 kg khoya
– 100 gm ghee
– 400 gm powdered sugar
– Few drops of saffron essence
– Some nuts (almonds andamp; Pistachios)
– Few strands of saffron
– 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
– Silver foil/warq as required

How To Cook?

1. Grease a plate with little ghee. Set aside.
2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and add khoya. Roast it over low heat until it starts to leave ghee. Remove from the heat.
3. Add powdered sugar, saffron essence and cardamom powder. Mix well.
4. Transfer this burfi mixture to the already greased plate and spread it evely.
5. Add silver foil over burfi mixture also spread dry fruits and saffron strands over burfi mixture.
6. Cut it into desired shape and serve.
