Ingredients:
• 100 g – Cashew nut powder
• 50 g – unsweetened khova (mava)
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Ghee (clarified butter)
• 2 tsp – Corn flour
• a pinch of Cardamom powder
• 2 tbsp – water
• Silver foil for garnish For stuffing:
• 2 tbsp – khova
• A pinch of Saffron colour
• A few strands of Saffron
• 1 tbsp – mixed chopped dry fruits (pista, almond)
Method:
- In a kadai, add sugar and water.
- Make a 2 string syrup.
- In a bowl, mix cashew nut powder and khova well.
- Add it to the sugar syrup and mix well constantly on low heat.
- Add 2 tbsp ghee.
- Mix well for a min.
- Add cornflour and mix well until it starts bubbling and starts to leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add another 2 tbsp of ghee.
- Add cardamom powder, mix and remove on a greased plate.
- Allow to cool.
- Mix all the stuffing ingredients together.
- Spread it on cooled cashew-khova mixture.
- Roll and cut into 1 inch pieces.
- Roll in silver foil and serve.
