
Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg-kovakai
• 1- Potatoes
• 5 pods- Garlic
• 1/2 inch-ginger
• 1.5 tsp-chilli powder
• 1.5 tsp- salt
• 1/4 tsp- fennel seeds/cumin
• 1/2 tsp-haldi
• 1/2 tsp -mustard seed
• 1-2 cups-oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds and fennel seeds to it.
- When the mustard sputters, add mashed garlic and ginger to it.
- Then, add turmeric powder and chilli powder to it.
- Slit the tindora vertically and cut the potato into cubes.
- First, put the potato in the oil and after it’s nicely fried, add the tindora.
- Add salt to taste.
- Sprinkle water and put a lid on the vessel to cook for 6 minutes.
- Remove lid and add 2 tsp of oil and mix well and leave to fry for 4-5 minutes.
