Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg-kovakai
• 1- Potatoes
• 5 pods- Garlic
• 1/2 inch-ginger
• 1.5 tsp-chilli powder
• 1.5 tsp- salt
• 1/4 tsp- fennel seeds/cumin
• 1/2 tsp-haldi
• 1/2 tsp -mustard seed
• 1-2 cups-oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds and fennel seeds to it.
  2. When the mustard sputters, add mashed garlic and ginger to it.
  3. Then, add turmeric powder and chilli powder to it.
  4. Slit the tindora vertically and cut the potato into cubes.
  5. First, put the potato in the oil and after it’s nicely fried, add the tindora.
  6. Add salt to taste.
  7. Sprinkle water and put a lid on the vessel to cook for 6 minutes.
  8. Remove lid and add 2 tsp of oil and mix well and leave to fry for 4-5 minutes.
