Ingredients:

• 1 cup -bisquick powder or jamun mix
• 1 cup -shredded Cabbage or Spinach
• 1 cup -shredded Onions
• 1 cup -tomato puree
• 2 tsp -salt
• 2 tsp -red chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp -jeera
• 1 tsp -garam masala powder
• 2tsp – Butter
• oil
• fresh Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Mix 1 cup of bisquick mix with 1 cup of shredded cabbage or spinach.
  2. Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp chilli powder.
  3. Add very little water to make dough.
  4. Make small balls out of this mixture.
  5. Deep fry these kofta-balls, keep aside.
  6. For the gravy:
  7. Heat a non-stick pan.
  8. Add 2 tsp butter and a little oil.
  9. Add jeera.
  10. When jeera splutters, add shredded onion and fry till golden brown.
  11. Add tomato puree and keep on stirring till the oil separates.
  12. Add some water, salt and chilli powder.
  13. Let it boil for 2 minutes.
  14. Add garam masala.
  15. When the mixture thickens, add kofta balls.
  16. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
