
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – lima beans (frozen or fresh)
• 1 – onion, big size
• 1 – tomato, medium size
• 2 pods – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger paste
• chilli powder as desired
• 1.5 tsp – coriander powder
• Salt to taste
• Oil
• 1 tsp each – cumin seeds, Fennel seeds
• 2 – Cloves
• 1 – Cinnamon
Method:
- Chop the onion, tomato and garlic finely.
- Heat oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, clove and cinnamon to it.
- Then, add the chopped onions.
- Saute it till it becomes transparent.
- Now, add garlic and ginger paste to the onions and saute them for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped tomato to it.
- Then, add the chilli powder and the coriander powder.
- Saute it till it gets a slight brown color.
- Now, add the lima beans and stir it well.
- Add 1.5 cups of water to the lima beans mixture and salt.
- Cover the kadai with a lid and cook.
- Remove the lid when the lima beans curry is in a semi liquid form.
- Remove from the heat.
- Garnish it with chopped cilantro (coriander leaves).
