Ingredients:
• 1 – Lime
• 1 small piece – ginger, finely scraped
• 1 tsp – ground pepper
• 1 – Tomatoes
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – mustard
• 1 tsp – Methi
• 1 cup – cooked Toor Dal
• 1 tbsp – Jeera seeds
• chopped coriander.
Method:
- Put 1 tbsp oil and mustard in the pot and let it pop.
- Then, add methi and fry till it turns red.
- Then add the green chillies, tomatoes, ginger and turmeric powder and let it fry for 5 minutes.
- Add water and salt to the mixture and let it boil.
- Then, add jeera and pepper.
- Make the cooked thor dal into a pulp and add it to the boiling mixture in the pot.
- Add water to thin the rasam.
- Remove the rasam from the stove to cool it down.
- Before serving, squeeze some lime juice, add some chopped coriander and salt into the rasam.
- Serve it with rice.
