Ingredients:

• 1 – Lime
• 1 small piece – ginger, finely scraped
• 1 tsp – ground pepper
• 1 – Tomatoes
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – mustard
• 1 tsp – Methi
• 1 cup – cooked Toor Dal
• 1 tbsp – Jeera seeds
• chopped coriander.

Method:

  1. Put 1 tbsp oil and mustard in the pot and let it pop.
  2. Then, add methi and fry till it turns red.
  3. Then add the green chillies, tomatoes, ginger and turmeric powder and let it fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Add water and salt to the mixture and let it boil.
  5. Then, add jeera and pepper.
  6. Make the cooked thor dal into a pulp and add it to the boiling mixture in the pot.
  7. Add water to thin the rasam.
  8. Remove the rasam from the stove to cool it down.
  9. Before serving, squeeze some lime juice, add some chopped coriander and salt into the rasam.
  10. Serve it with rice.
