Ingredients:
• 4 cups Rice Flour
• 2 cups Maida Flour
• 1 cup Suji (small)
• 1/2 stick Butter
• 3 medium Onions
• Coriander leaves (chopped finely)
• 3-4 Green chillies (depending on your taste)
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Red Chilli powder (optional)
• 2-3 tbsp Water (put as little as possible)
• Oil for frying
Method:
- Cut the onions into very long and thin pieces.
- Fry suji in a large pan over medium heat until lightly golden.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a mixing bowl.
- Mix the chopped onions with the rice flour, maida and suji.
- Do not add water at this time.
- Heat the butter a little and pour it into the bowl and add the rest of the ingredients to it.
- Mix all ingredients to form a moist, soft dough.
- Add water only if necessary.
- Heat the oil in a kadai.
- Divide the dough into small portions, flatten each portion like a thin flat plate and deep fry in oil until golden and crispy.
- Can be served alone or with coconut chutney.
