
Ingredients:
• 100 g – lady fingers
• 2 cups – sour buttermilk
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Grind together:
• 4 – 5 – Green chillies
• 1/2 inch – Ginger
• 3/4cup – grated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – Channa dal (soaked for 1 hour in water)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tbsp – Jeera
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder
• salt
Method:
- Cut lady fingers into 1 inch pieces.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Stir fry lady fingers till tender.
- Drain and keep aside.
- Pour butter milk in the kadai.
- Bring it to boil, stirring continuously.
- Add the ground paste, and stir continuously.
- Add 1/4 cup water, and let it cook for another 10 – 15 minutes.
- Add fried okra, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti.
