Ingredients:

• 100 g – lady fingers
• 2 cups – sour buttermilk
• 2 tbsp – oil
• Grind together:
• 4 – 5 – Green chillies
• 1/2 inch – Ginger
• 3/4cup – grated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – Channa dal (soaked for 1 hour in water)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tbsp – Jeera
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder
• salt

Method:

  1. Cut lady fingers into 1 inch pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai.
  3. Stir fry lady fingers till tender.
  4. Drain and keep aside.
  5. Pour butter milk in the kadai.
  6. Bring it to boil, stirring continuously.
  7. Add the ground paste, and stir continuously.
  8. Add 1/4 cup water, and let it cook for another 10 – 15 minutes.
  9. Add fried okra, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  11. Serve hot with roti.
