Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Maida
• 1 cup-Sugar
• 3/4 cup – Milk powder
• 3/4 cup – Malai/cream
• 1 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – Soda bicarbonate
• 1/2 cup- Butter
• 7-8 drops – Vanilla essence
• 2 tsp – Cocoa powder
• 2 tsp – Chocolate powder
• 1.5 cup- Milk

Method:

  1. Whisk the malai till it separates into butter
  2. Then add the vanilla essence, butter, sugar, milk powder, maida cocoa and chocolate powders, and mix well.
  3. Add milk (reserving 2 tbsps) to smoothen the batter and keep aside.
  4. Take another bowl and heat 2 tbsp of milk, add soda and baking powder and mix well.
  5. Add this to the batter.
  6. Fold the mixture gently.
  7. Now grease a cake tin, dust with flour, pour the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 160 deg C for 45 mins.
