
Ingredients:
• Cashew nuts – 1/2 kg
• salt – one and a half tsp
• gram flour (Besan) – 1/2 cup
• Rice flour – 1/2 cup
• chilli powder – 1 to 2 tsp
• thymol seeds (ajwain, omam) – 1/2 tsp
• asafetida – little
Method:
- Mix salt with one and a half cup of water. Sprinkle on cashew nuts and mix well.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix. Sprinkle some water if necessary to make the masala stick to the cashew nuts. Deep fry in moderately hot oil. Cool and store.
