Ingredients:

• 2 cups – masoor dal
• 1 – Onion
• 1 – Tomato
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1/2 cup – Milk

Method:

  1. Cook dal in a pressure pan up to four whistles, mash it and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute the diced onion, green chillies and tomato until soft and add the cooked dal, followed by chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Allow it to boil for a while.
  3. Simmer the stove and add milk, mixing it well.
  4. Finally switch off the stove and add the lemon juice.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
