
Ingredients:
• 1 kg – minced Meat
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1/2 cup – Tomato sauce or thick Tomato puree
• 1/4 cup – Mutton stock
• 1/2 cup – finely chopped Onions
• 1 cup – breadcrumbs
• 8 Cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp – Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• For garnishing: whole Tomatoes and Parsley leaves
Method:
- Fry the minced meat in 2 tbsp oil until the water dries up. Take off the fire.
- Add the 2 beaten eggs, tomato sauce (or tomato puree), mutton stock, finely chopped onions, breadcrumbs, garlic cloves, minced parsley, Worcestershire sauce, chilli powder, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- If the mixture looks dry, add 2 tbsp of extra tomato sauce.
- Grease a 8 x 5 x 3 inch loaf tin. Put half the meat into it.
- Place 4 hard boiled eggs, sideways on it.
- Cover with the remaining meat. Press down lightly.
- Bake for approximately 40 mins at 180 deg C.
- Cool for 5 mins and then turn out.
- Decorate with skinned whole tomatoes and parsley.
- Serve hot or cold with additional tomato sauce.
