Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – Toor Dal (cooked)
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 1 – big Tomato (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – Mint leaves (washed and chopped)
• 1/2 tsp – sambar powder
• 2 – Green chillies (slit)
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds + Urad Dal
• 3 – dry Red Chillies
• 1/4 tsp – Hing powder
• salt to taste
• oil

Method:

  1. Heat enough oil and fry the mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies and hing powder.
  2. Add the chopped onion and green chillies. Saute until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the chopped tomato and cook until it turns mushy.
  4. Add the chopped mint leaves and saute until the leaves shrink a bit.
  5. Add the cooked toor dal, enough water, salt and sambar powder.
  6. Cook the vegetables well.
  7. Finally add lemon juice and turn off the flame.
  8. Enjoy with rice or roti.
