
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Toor Dal (cooked)
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 1 – big Tomato (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – Mint leaves (washed and chopped)
• 1/2 tsp – sambar powder
• 2 – Green chillies (slit)
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds + Urad Dal
• 3 – dry Red Chillies
• 1/4 tsp – Hing powder
• salt to taste
• oil
Method:
- Heat enough oil and fry the mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies and hing powder.
- Add the chopped onion and green chillies. Saute until the onion is translucent.
- Add the chopped tomato and cook until it turns mushy.
- Add the chopped mint leaves and saute until the leaves shrink a bit.
- Add the cooked toor dal, enough water, salt and sambar powder.
- Cook the vegetables well.
- Finally add lemon juice and turn off the flame.
- Enjoy with rice or roti.
