Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – Rice flour
• 1/2 cup – Maida
• 1/2 cup – besan
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – sesame seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 tbsp – Butter
• salt to taste
• oil to fry

Method:

  1. Mix all the flours together.
  2. Add chilli powder, salt, sesame seeds and cumin seeds.
  3. Rub in the butter.
  4. Add enough water to make a stiff paste.
  5. Fill a chakli mould with some of the prepared mixture.
  6. Press into 5 cm discs of concentric circles, on a sheet of plastic.
  7. Transfer the discs carefully into moderately hot oil.
  8. Fry on moderate flame till crisp and golden brown.
  9. Use all the mixture thus.
  10. Cool and store in an airtight container.
