Ingredients:

• 50 g – yellow moong dal
• 200 g – French beans, diced
• 1 cup – Coriander leaves
• 3 to 4 – Garlic pods
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – cumin
• Oil for cooking

Method:

  1. Soak the moong dal for 1/2 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the crushed garlic, and cumin. When the seeds splutter add chopped onion and saute.
  3. When onion turns brown, add the salt and all the spices.
  4. Mix well and add the moong and beans.
  5. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and cook.
  6. When the beans are cooked remove onto a plate and garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve with paratha or roti.
