Ingredients:
• 50 g – yellow moong dal
• 200 g – French beans, diced
• 1 cup – Coriander leaves
• 3 to 4 – Garlic pods
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – cumin
• Oil for cooking
Method:
- Soak the moong dal for 1/2 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the crushed garlic, and cumin. When the seeds splutter add chopped onion and saute.
- When onion turns brown, add the salt and all the spices.
- Mix well and add the moong and beans.
- Add 1/2 cup water, cover and cook.
- When the beans are cooked remove onto a plate and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with paratha or roti.
