
Ingredients:
• A large head of fish (Katla)- 200 g
• 1 cup – Rice
• Onion paste – 1/4 cup
• Garlic paste – 1/4 cup
• Ginger paste – 1/4 cup
• Tomato puree – 1/2 cup
• Red Chilli powder- 2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 2 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 2 tsp
• Dhania-Jeera powder – 2 tsp
• Lemon juice – 2 tsp
• Bay Leaf – 2
• Whole Garam Masala
• Jeera – 2 tsp
• Salt and Oil – As per requirement
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Clean the head and marinate it with salt and turmeric powder.
- Fry it till golden brown.
- Soak the rice for 30 minutes.
- Put oil in a pan. Add some jeera. When it turns brown, add bay leaves and garam masala.
- Then add onion paste, garlic paste, ginger paste and fry it.
- Add tomato puree, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, dhania-jeera powder, salt turmeric powder, lemon juice and fry it until the oil is removed.
- Then add the head and break it in the pan and mix all together.
- Now add the soaked rice and mix it properly. Cover it for 25 minutes on a slow flame.
- Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
