Ingredients:

• 300 gms – fresh Spinach
• 1 kg – self raising flour
• 1 Egg
• 1 tbsp – (heaped) instant Yeast
• 2 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cook the spinach, drain very well and chop. Drain again.
  2. Add the instant yeast to the flour and add salt.
  3. Add warm water to make dough.
  4. Add the spinach. Prove for 2 hours. Ball into quarters.
  5. Place on steaming stew, seal lid tightly.
  6. Cook 1.5 hours.
  7. Do not open lid while cooking.
