Ingredients:

• 1 cup – radish pieces, chopped
• 1 cup – Spring onions chopped (separate white and greens)
• 1/8 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1.5 tbsp – white sesame seeds
• 1 small – Star anise
• 2 – Green chillies slit
• 1 spring – Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• A pinch – mustard
• Cumin – 1/2 tsp
• Pinch of Asafoetida
• 3 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a wide pan, splutter cumin, mustard, dals and add green chillies and curry leaves.
  2. When the dals turn slightly golden, add asafoetida, white parts of the spring onion and radish. Sprinkle salt and turmeric
  3. Fry till the radish is almost cooked
  4. Powder finely, sesame seeds and star anise
  5. When the radish turns soft, add the ground powder, chilli powder and green parts of spring onions and fry on a medium high for 2 mins.
  6. Serve.
