Ingredients:

• Mumura – 200gs
• Carrot, Beans, Cabbage, Peas – 1 Cup each
• Green chilli – 8(you may add more to your taste)
• Onion Chopped – 1 Cup
• Lemon Juice – 2 spoons
• Grated fresh Coconut – 1 Cup
• Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Coriander and Curry leaves – Fine Chopped
• Salt to taste
• Oil – 5 to 6 tsp
• Turmeric – 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Place a medium-size pan on the stove. Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add urad dal, green chilli, curry leaves, jeera, turmeric powder and onion.
  3. Wait for 2 mins. Add all cut vegetables and fry for 10 mins.
  4. Wash mumura in fresh water, drain and add to the above mixture.
  5. Add lemon, salt, coriander leaves, mix thoroughly and wait for 5 mins.
  6. Upma is ready.
