
Ingredients:
• Murmura – 2 cups
• Onion – 1
• Green chillies – 4
• Curry leaves – as per taste
• Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Jeera
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1.5 tsps – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tsps – powdered roasted Peanuts (optional)
Method:
- Soak murmura in water for about 7 mins.
- Chop onions and chillies and keep aside.
- Heat oil in kadai and add channa dal, urad dal, jeera and mustard seeds.
- Once they splutter, add curry leaves.
- Add the chillies next and the onion, and saute.
- Squeeze the water from the murmura and add to the kadai.
- Add salt, turmeric and chilli power.
- Mix it well and keep on fire for 5 mins.
- Garnish with coriander.
- You can also powder roasted peanuts and sprinkle it on the upma.
