Ingredients:
• 2 cups – paneer, cubed
• 1 cup – boiled peas
• 1/2 cup – Tomato puree
• 1/2 cup – Cream
• 2-3 – ripe tomatoes, chopped
• 1 – large onion, finely chopped
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tsp – Turmeric
• Few sprigs of Cilantro for garnish
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Honey
• To be ground into paste:
• 2-3 – Cloves
• 1 inch – gingerroot, peeled and chopped
• 2-3 – Green chillies (or as per taste)
• 1 tbsp – cashews
• 1 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 tsp – cumin
Method:
- Fry the paneer cubes till golden brown.
- Remove and drop them in a bowl of water.
- This way the excess oil floats to the top and the paneer also gets soft. Remove and set aside.
- In a skillet add 1/2 tsp oil and add the ground paste to it.
- Once the raw smell is replaced by aroma, add the onions and saute for 3-5 min till they get soft.
- Add the tomatoes and stir until soft.
- Then add the puree, peas, cream, honey and the spices and stir for another 5 min.
- You can add water if you prefer gravy consistency.
- When it starts boiling, add the paneer and cook for another 5-10 mins.
- Serve warm garnished with cilantro.
