
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – grainy rave
• 3/4 cup – Sugar
• 10 to 12 – small raisins, washed
• 5 to 6 – Almonds finely slivered
• 2 – whole cardamoms, seeded, crushed lightly
• 1/4 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 2.5 cups – hot Milk
Method:
- Heat ghee in a heavy saucepan. Add rave and roast over low flame for approximately 7-8 mins till the aroma exudes.
- Add hot milk, stirring simultaneously.
- Add raisins and cook over low flame till water is absorbed.
- Add cardamom, nutmeg powder and sugar.
- Stir gently till sugar melts, and the released moisture is re-absorbed.
- Garnish with slivered almonds and some raisins.
- Serve piping hot.
