Ingredients:

• 1 cup – grainy rave
• 3/4 cup – Sugar
• 10 to 12 – small raisins, washed
• 5 to 6 – Almonds finely slivered
• 2 – whole cardamoms, seeded, crushed lightly
• 1/4 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 2.5 cups – hot Milk

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a heavy saucepan. Add rave and roast over low flame for approximately 7-8 mins till the aroma exudes.
  2. Add hot milk, stirring simultaneously.
  3. Add raisins and cook over low flame till water is absorbed.
  4. Add cardamom, nutmeg powder and sugar.
  5. Stir gently till sugar melts, and the released moisture is re-absorbed.
  6. Garnish with slivered almonds and some raisins.
  7. Serve piping hot.
