
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – rolled oats
• 1/2 cup – Cooked yellow moong dal
• 1 cup – Mixed veggies
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 1 tsp – Ginger (grated)
• 1 tsp – Garlic (chopped)
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds + Cumin seeds
• 1- Green chillies (slit opened)
• 10 – Whole black peppers
• A few Curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 – Bay Leaves
• Salt
• Oil
Method:
- Heat enough oil.
- Fry the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and bay leaves.
- Add the chopped onions, slit opened green chillies, grated ginger, curry leaves and chopped garlic.
- Cook until the onions turns translucent.
- Now add the mixed vegetables, whole black peppers, turmeric powder and salt.
- Cook for a few seconds, add two cups of water, cooked moong dal and bring to boil.
- Meanwhile dry roast the rolled oats and keep aside.
- Add the roasted oats to the boiling water, stir well and cook for few minutes.
- Put off the stove and don’t disturb for a few seconds.
- Serve hot with pickles or papads.
