Ingredients:

• 1 kg – mutton.
• 2 – potatoes, cut into medium pieces.
• 4 tbsp – mustard oil.
• 1 tbsp – Salt.
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 4 – bay leaves.
• 2 tsp -cumin.
• 2 tsp -coriander.
• 1 inch piece – ginger.
• 5 – green chillies.
• 1 piece – cinnamon.
• 2 – cardamom.
• 2 – cloves|

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the mutton, pat it dry, add 1 tsp salt and turmeric and keep aside.
  2. Now heat the kadai, pour 4 tbsp of oil, add potatoes, 1 tsp salt and turmeric powder in it and fry till golden yellow and keep aside.
  3. Put the mutton in the kadai, add all masalas and fry it till the oil leaves the masalas.
  4. Add 2 cups of water, transfer the contents to a pressure cooker and cook for 2 -3 whistles.
  5. Open it add the potatoes and keep it for another whistle.
  6. Remove from gas and when the steam subsides serve.
