Ingredients:
• 1 kg – mutton.
• 2 – potatoes, cut into medium pieces.
• 4 tbsp – mustard oil.
• 1 tbsp – Salt.
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 4 – bay leaves.
• 2 tsp -cumin.
• 2 tsp -coriander.
• 1 inch piece – ginger.
• 5 – green chillies.
• 1 piece – cinnamon.
• 2 – cardamom.
• 2 – cloves|
Method:
- Clean and wash the mutton, pat it dry, add 1 tsp salt and turmeric and keep aside.
- Now heat the kadai, pour 4 tbsp of oil, add potatoes, 1 tsp salt and turmeric powder in it and fry till golden yellow and keep aside.
- Put the mutton in the kadai, add all masalas and fry it till the oil leaves the masalas.
- Add 2 cups of water, transfer the contents to a pressure cooker and cook for 2 -3 whistles.
- Open it add the potatoes and keep it for another whistle.
- Remove from gas and when the steam subsides serve.
