Ingredients:
• Potatoes – 1/2 kg
• shelled Green peas – 2 cup
• Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
• Onion – 1/2 cup, chopped
• Ginger – 3 cm
• Garlic – 6 flakes
• Green chillies – 3
• chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
• Oil or Ghee – 3 tbsp
• Bay Leaf 1
• salt to taste
• dry Mango powder (Aamchoor) – 1 tsp
Method:
- Peel and cut potatoes into 4 cm cubes.
- Grind the green peas to a paste.
- Grind onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies together.
- Mix chilli powder, turmeric powder and Garam Masala powder together with little water to a thick paste.
- Heat oil or Ghee. Add bay leaf. Add onion paste and fry till fragrant.
- Add the red paste and fry for 1 minute. Add the ground peas and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add about 4 cups of water, potatoes and salt. Cover and simmer till the potatoes are cooked.
- Sprinkle mango powder on top. Mix well and remove from fire.
