Ingredients:

• Mutton – 500 gm, cubed.
• Black pepper Corns – 4 tsp.
• Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp.
• Garlic – 4 cloves.
• Ginger – a thin slice.
• oil – 4 tbsp.
• Onion – 1/2 cup, chopped.
• Curry leaves.
• Rampe leaves (kewra, pandanus leaf) – 3.
• Cardamoms – 2.
• Cloves – 2.
• Cinnamon – 3 cm.
• Coriander powder – 1 tsp.
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
• Thin Coconut Milk – 1 cup.
• Thick Coconut Milk – 1/2 cup.
• Lime juice – 1 tsp.
• Salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Grind pepper, mustard seeds, garlic and ginger to a paste and mix with mutton cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry onions, curry leaves and rampe leaves for 3-4 mins.
  3. Add all the ingredients except coconut milk and lime juice.
  4. Then, add mutton and fry till golden brown.
  5. Add the thin coconut milk and pressure cook for 15 mins.
  6. Once the cooker cools, add the thick coconut milk and heat till it begins to boil. Remove from fire.
  7. Sprinkle lime juice on top and serve hot with rice.
