Ingredients:
• Mutton – 500 gm, cubed.
• Black pepper Corns – 4 tsp.
• Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp.
• Garlic – 4 cloves.
• Ginger – a thin slice.
• oil – 4 tbsp.
• Onion – 1/2 cup, chopped.
• Curry leaves.
• Rampe leaves (kewra, pandanus leaf) – 3.
• Cardamoms – 2.
• Cloves – 2.
• Cinnamon – 3 cm.
• Coriander powder – 1 tsp.
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
• Thin Coconut Milk – 1 cup.
• Thick Coconut Milk – 1/2 cup.
• Lime juice – 1 tsp.
• Salt to taste.
Method:
- Grind pepper, mustard seeds, garlic and ginger to a paste and mix with mutton cubes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry onions, curry leaves and rampe leaves for 3-4 mins.
- Add all the ingredients except coconut milk and lime juice.
- Then, add mutton and fry till golden brown.
- Add the thin coconut milk and pressure cook for 15 mins.
- Once the cooker cools, add the thick coconut milk and heat till it begins to boil. Remove from fire.
- Sprinkle lime juice on top and serve hot with rice.
