Pesarapappu paysam is generally a moong dal paysam which is very popular cuisine of South India. There are so many variations of paysam but this one is great and it is very easy, simple and quick to make. This sweet can be made without any hassle and you do not require that much Ingredients to make this sweet. The taste of this paysam is superbly delicious and aroma of this paysam is actually very great. So let’s quickly take look for this delicious recipe.

Ingredients

– 1 cup moong dal
– 1 cup milk
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 2 cups water
– ? teaspoon cardamom powder
– 2 teaspoon ghee
– 8 cashew nuts

How To Make?

1. Heat ghee in a pan, add cashew nuts and fry them until golden brown. Drain and set aside.
2. In the same pan, add moong dal and fry until it turns light golden brown.
3. Now, Place this roasted moong dal in a pressure cooker along with 2 cups of water and pressure cook the dal for 3 whistles. Remove from the heat and wait until the pressure go off.
4. Add the Powdered sugar and jaggery to cooked dal and allow the jaggery to melt.
5. Finally, add the milk, roasted cashew nuts and cardamom powder and cook for another 5 minutes.
6. Serve it and enjoy.
