Ingredients:
• 1 pound Fish (Salmon or Catfish), cut into 1 inch cubes
• 1 – large Onion
• 3 tbsp – Soya sauce
• 1/2 cup – finely ground Ginger
• 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
• 4 Green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 1/4 tsp Cumin
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric
• 1 tsp finely cut Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• 4 tbsp – Oil for frying
Method:
- Wash and clean fish cubes.
- Marinate fish with 2 tbsp soya sauce, 3 tsp ginger, salt and turmeric. Set aside for 1/2 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and once they splutter, add finely cut onion.
- Fry onion till it turns light brown.
- Now, add red chilli powder, slit green chillies and the remaining ground ginger. Fry till oil oozes out.
- Add soya sauce and the marinated fish. Cover and cook on medium flame till fish is well done. Add salt to taste.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with chapati or rice. This recipe can be alternated with chicken or plain potatoes.
