Ingredients:

• 1 pound Fish (Salmon or Catfish), cut into 1 inch cubes
• 1 – large Onion
• 3 tbsp – Soya sauce
• 1/2 cup – finely ground Ginger
• 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
• 4 Green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 1/4 tsp Cumin
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric
• 1 tsp finely cut Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• 4 tbsp – Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Wash and clean fish cubes.
  2. Marinate fish with 2 tbsp soya sauce, 3 tsp ginger, salt and turmeric. Set aside for 1/2 hour.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and once they splutter, add finely cut onion.
  4. Fry onion till it turns light brown.
  5. Now, add red chilli powder, slit green chillies and the remaining ground ginger. Fry till oil oozes out.
  6. Add soya sauce and the marinated fish. Cover and cook on medium flame till fish is well done. Add salt to taste.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with chapati or rice. This recipe can be alternated with chicken or plain potatoes.
