Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – Lobia
• 2 – Onions
• 3 – Tomatoes
• 3 – Green chillies
• 2 tbsp – Ginger and Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tbsp – desiccated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – yogurt
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
• 4 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, saute onions till transparent.
- Now add ginger and garlic paste and stir.
- Cook till light brown in colour.
- Add tomatoes and stir.
- When soft, add salt, turmeric, chilli powder, green chillies, some coriander leaves, garam masala, coconut and mix well.
- Cook till oil separates.
- Now add yogurt and stir.
- Cook for 5 mins, stirring often.
- Add lobia and pour enough water to cook the peas.
- Now pressure cook up to 4 whistles.
- When done, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
