Ingredients:

• 1/2 pound – okra, cut in small pieces
• 3 – medium sized red Onions
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1 tbsp – khus-khus
• A handful of cashews
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 1 cup – yogurt
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 – tsp coriander powder
• A little each of cumin, Methi seeds and Saunf
• Salt for taste
• Cilantro for garnishing

Method:

  1. Fry okra partially or can bake them in oven 400 degrees for 15 mins.
  2. Dry roast the khus-khus and cashews. Saute onions and grind them along with the khus-khus and cashews.
  3. Splutter cumin, methi seeds and saunf. Then saute sliced green chillies and tomatoes.
  4. Add the ground paste, chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder. Cook til oil separates.
  5. Add yogurt and cook for 15 mins.
  6. Finally add the fried okra and salt.
  7. Garnish with cilantro.
