
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – split Urad Dal
• 2 tsp – grated Ginger
• 3 – Green chillies (chopped)
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Less than a pinch – Asafoetida
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 2 tsp – vegetable oil
Method:
- Soak urad dal for about 2 hours. Cook the dal in a microwave for about 9 minutes by covering the dish with a plate.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
- After it starts spluttering, add asafoetida, coriander and turmeric powder. Stir for about a minute.
- Add ginger, chillies and the dal.
- Stir for 5 mins and turn off flame.
