Ingredients:
• 1 – pomfret, whole.
• 1/2 cup – Lime juice/vinegar.
• 4 tbsps – fresh Ginger paste.
• 4 tbsps – fresh Garlic paste.
• 2 tbsps – red chilli.
• 4 – cloves.
• 4 – cardamom.
• 1/2 tbsp – Turmeric powder.
• Salt to taste.
• oil.
• Pav.
Method:
- Grind the cloves and cardamoms into a powder and lightly roast it in a pan.
- Mix the ginger and garlic paste with lime juice or vinegar thoroughly.
- Maintain a thick consistency.
- Mix in the chilli, haldi and salt and the roasted powder.
- Clean the fish and slice it creating a cavity.
- Stuff the paste into the cavity and rub the remaining paste all over the fish.
- Let it marinate for 10 mins.
- Gently lower the fish into a heated pan with oil and shallow fry till tender.
- Serve hot with the paav and wine (optional).
