
Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – Chicken (cut as medium pieces)
• 1 – Onion (large and chopped)
• 1 tbsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Lime juice
• Salt
• Oil
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• Chopped Coriander leaves
• To grind:
• 2 tbsp – Poppy Seeds (soaked in hot water)
• 3 – Green chillies
Method:
- Marinate the chicken with garam masala powder, turmeric powder, salt and lime juice and keep aside for half an hour.
- Heat enough oil, fry the bay leaves.
- Add the chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smells goes away.
- Now add the marinated chicken, cook everything for few minutes.
- Meanwhile grind the soaked poppy seeds, green chillies as fine paste and keep aside.
- Add the Kashmiri red chilli powder, ground poppy paste to the cooking chicken, and cook everything for few minutes again.
- Now add enough water and cook until the chicken gets well-cooked and the gravy becomes thick.
- Serve hot with rice.
