Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Macaroni / Pasta.
• 100g – Prawns, cleaned.
• 2 – Onions, large.
• 3 – tomatoes, medium.
• 2 – green chillies.
• 1 tsp – Ginger-garlic paste.
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 1 tsp – Chilli powder.
• 4 -cloves.
• 3 – small Cinnamon sticks.
• 1 – Cardamom (optional).
• 1/2 cup – Mint/Pudina.
• Coriander leaves – to garnish.
• Salt to taste.
• 4 tbsp – oil.

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a pressure pan and add the whole spices. After it splutters, add the onions, green chilli and saute.
  2. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute. Then add tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes are mashed well.
  3. Add salt, turmeric and chilli powder.
  4. Now add the prawns and stir for 2-3 mins.
  5. Add 4 cups of water and bring to boil.
  6. Now add the mint leaves and the macaroni.
  7. Cover and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot.
