Ingredients:
• 2 – potatoes, medium size
• 3 tbsp – Poppy Seeds soaked in water and ground into a fine paste
• 1/2 tsp – Panchpuran (a mixture of cumin, coriander, fennel, Fenugreek and Onion seeds)
• 1 – hot chilli pepper, cut into small pieces
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp – oil
• 1 cup – water
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan (kadai), put panchpuran.
- When panchpuran starts spluttering put potatoes and poppy seeds paste, turmeric powder and fry it for two minutes.
- Add water, salt, chilli pieces and put a cover on the pan and allow it to cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Serve with rice and dal.
