Ingredients:

• 1 – Brinjal
• 3 – whole Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – cumin
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• 7 flakes – Garlic
• 1 stalk – Curry leaves
• 3 tsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Salt as desired.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and red chillies, and fry. When they are done, drain and keep aside.
  2. In the same oil, saute the chopped brinjal until it is cooked. Allow it to cool.
  3. Grind all the ingredients except the mustard to a smooth paste.
  4. Heat the remaining oil and add mustard seeds. When they crackle, add the ground brinjal paste. Mix well and serve.
