Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – Rava
• 1 cup – Besan
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Dry fruits like Almonds and cashewnuts, crushed
• 1 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 tbsp – gond (gum)
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• A few slivers of Almond for garnishing

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a kadai. Add rava and stir it till it is roasted.
  2. Add besan and roast it.
  3. Stir the mixture continuously on low flame.
  4. In another utensil, heat 1 tsp of ghee.
  5. Fry gond in the ghee and crush it; add it to the dry fruit mix.
  6. Add this mix to rava besan mixture.
  7. In a saucepan, take 1.5 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar.
  8. Boil till you get a 1-string thread.
  9. Add the above mix in the sugar solution and stir continuously.
  10. Remove to a plate and garnish with cardamom powder and dry fruits.
  11. Allow to cool and cut into diamond shapes.
