Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Mutton
• 2 cups – Yoghurt
• 2 large onions, sliced finely
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – saffron, soaked in hot Milk
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• salt to taste
• Grind Together:
• 1 medium size Onion
• 8 flakes Garlic
• 1/2″ piece Ginger
• 4 Green chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder1 tbsp – Cumin seed powder
• 1 tbsp – dessicated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Heat the oil, fry the sliced onions until brown.
  2. Add the ground spices and fry well for a few minutes.
  3. Add meat and salt, stir well.
  4. Cover pan, when lid is very hot turn down heat to low and simmer till meat is tender.
  5. Add saffron and continue to cook till curry is thick and slightly brown.
