Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – Mutton
• 2 cups – Yoghurt
• 2 large onions, sliced finely
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – saffron, soaked in hot Milk
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• salt to taste
• Grind Together:
• 1 medium size Onion
• 8 flakes Garlic
• 1/2″ piece Ginger
• 4 Green chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder1 tbsp – Cumin seed powder
• 1 tbsp – dessicated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves
Method:
- Heat the oil, fry the sliced onions until brown.
- Add the ground spices and fry well for a few minutes.
- Add meat and salt, stir well.
- Cover pan, when lid is very hot turn down heat to low and simmer till meat is tender.
- Add saffron and continue to cook till curry is thick and slightly brown.
