Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – Rava / sooji
• 1 tsp – Gram (Pottukadalai / Chutney Dal, Roasted )
• 1 tsp – Coconut (scraped)
• 1/2 tbsp – Butter
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Sesame seeds(White)
• Oil for Deep Frying.

Method:

  1. Grind the rava and pottukadalai into a powder in a grinder.
  2. Dry roast the coconut and sesame seeds separately until golden brown.
  3. Add butter, salt, the roasted coconut, sesame seeds and the ground rava and pottukadalai.
  4. Knead it into a soft pliable dough.
  5. Cover and keep aside for 45 mins.
  6. Now make small balls of the dough and allow it to dry in a cloth for 10 mins.
  7. Heat the oil for Deep Frying.
  8. Now fry the balls until golden.
  9. Drain in a kitchen towel to absorb the excess oil.
  10. Serve hot.
