
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Rava / sooji
• 1 tsp – Gram (Pottukadalai / Chutney Dal, Roasted )
• 1 tsp – Coconut (scraped)
• 1/2 tbsp – Butter
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Sesame seeds(White)
• Oil for Deep Frying.
Method:
- Grind the rava and pottukadalai into a powder in a grinder.
- Dry roast the coconut and sesame seeds separately until golden brown.
- Add butter, salt, the roasted coconut, sesame seeds and the ground rava and pottukadalai.
- Knead it into a soft pliable dough.
- Cover and keep aside for 45 mins.
- Now make small balls of the dough and allow it to dry in a cloth for 10 mins.
- Heat the oil for Deep Frying.
- Now fry the balls until golden.
- Drain in a kitchen towel to absorb the excess oil.
- Serve hot.
