Ingredients:

• 2 – raw plantains
• For Masala:
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tbsp – dhaniya
• 1 tsp – Coconut
• (roast each and make a powder)
• For Seasoning:
• 1 tbsp -oil
• Some Urad Dal
• Mustard and Jeera
• Curry leaves
• 1/4 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• Salt, to taste
• 1 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Peel plantain and cut into small cubes. Take that in a vessel, add some water (1/2 cup), salt and turmeric and pressure cook until 3 whistles.
  2. Put seasoning in kadai with urad dal, mustard and jeera. Add cut green chillies and curry leaves, if you have them.
  3. Now add cooked plantain along with water.
  4. Let it simmer on the stove for 2 min until water evaporates.
  5. Add the ground powder and some tamarind pulp. After a minute switch off the stove.
