Ingredients:

• 8 pieces- fish (any fish)
• Salt to taste
• Grind to a fine paste:
• 1/2 -fresh Coconut (grated)
• 6 – whole Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp- Coriander seeds
• 3/4 tsp- Cumin seeds
• 1 pinch – Mustard Seeds
• 1 -small Onion
• 3 flakes- Garlic
• 1/4 tsp -turmeric powder
• little Tamarind
• 2 -small tomatoes.
• For seasoning: 1/2 -small Onion chopped finely, 1 small piece – chopped Ginger
• 2- green chillies, sliced

Method:

  1. Wash fish and put some salt and keep aside for 1/2 hour.
  2. Grind all the above ingredients to a fine paste.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a vessel and fry the onion along with ginger and green chillies till they become brown.
  4. Add masala, and fry for some time.
  5. Add water and make curry.
  6. When the curry boils, add fish (first wash the salted fish).
  7. Give one boil. Do not overcook the fish.
  8. Fish curry is served with hot rice.
